A Question for Pokémon Go: Why you guys stop your innovation?

In 2016, there was a game which was so popular that many people hang out and walked around the city for catching a Pokémon. Pokemon Go, this game use AR technology and map to create an Interactive Experience for the gamers. And bring them back to their children hood. But this game lost its customers so quickly, and almost dead game in less than a year. One of the key reasons is the developers stopped their innovation after they got success in the first place.Image result for Pokemon go

Unlike the Candy Crush and other mobile game, Pokémon Go doesn’t offer a rank system and even a communication tool in the game. The players cannot get any fun beside collect their Pokémon. Also, when the player collected all the Pokémon, the game became so boring that no one will continue to play it. But here is a key reason: The players cannot receive any feeling of accomplishment from the game.Image result for Pokemon go

If you play DOTA, you can feel good after you win the game; if you play CDOTA Crush, you can feel great after you beyond someone’s level. But if you play Pokémon Go, you cannot feel everything from the game. I must ask their developers why they stop their innovation. If they can add more contents and a good in-game communication tool, also a reasonable rank system. I think this game will still be popular in today.

There are so many examples in game industry that the game lost its market share after the first-place success. Such as Angry Bird, Fruit Ninja etc. All of them had a far great advantage but stop their innovation then dead in a short period. Maybe those dead game can be a meaningful lesson for all the game developers.
